Ignition System Components

Vortech's stand alone ignition system units allow cockpit adjustment of timing relative to boost. With a knob mounted in either dash or console, the driver can select from 0° to 4° retard per PSI of boost pressure to a maximum total retard of 20°. This allows normal advance while not in boost and provides the greatest combination of performance, engine safety and reliability when the engine is being pressurized. The Crane HI-6R System is a multiple spark, capacitive discharge, electronic ignition designed for high-performance street, drag racing and marine applications. It provides up to ten times greater spark energy than stock ignitions and allows for cockpit adjustment of ignition timing.
