Superchargers

V-1 Ti-Trim Supercharger

The V-1 Family

The V-1 was the first model supercharger Vortech produced. Other members of the V-1 family are the V-2, V-3, V5, V-7 and the V-11. Today, the V-3 (internally lubricated) is our most popular model, and is included in most Vortech street-legal supercharging systems. All of these units share the same gearcase-mounting bosses, fastener locations and 7.75” compressor mount flange diameter and external dimensions are similar. The V-4 is a close cousin except with a second set of mounting holes located outboard of the first, and at 9.75”, a larger diameter compressor flange. Various compressor stages may be fit to these variants. The V-11 is a mid-sized variant with an 8.50” diameter compressor mounting flange.

  • V-1 Supercharger

With straight cut gears (3.45:1 ratio) and the original engine oil lubrication system, the V-1 supercharger is ideally suited for sustained use such as road race and marine installations. This unit is only available with the higher speed bearings. Compressor choices include the Si, SCi, and T in both CW and CCW rotations and straight or curved outlet.

  • V-2 Supercharger

Very similar to the V-1 except with quieter helical cut gears (3.61:1 ratio) and retains the original engine oil lubrication system and so it is suitable for sustained boost situations. This unit is available with higher speed bearings for the T compressor stage. Compressor choices include the Si, SCi, and T in both CW and CCW rotations and straight or curved outlet.

  • V-3 Supercharger

The new standard, our most popular supercharger has a self-contained lubrication system. The V-3 comes with an attached oil drain extension so the unit does not have to be removed for servicing. The supercharger uses the quieter helical cut gears (3.61:1 ratio). Compressor choices include the Si or SCi in both CW and CCW rotations and straight or curved outlet.

  • V-4 X-Trim Supercharger

    V-4 Supercharger

Significantly larger and with straight cut gears (3.45:1 ratio) and the original engine oil lubrication system, the V-4 works for sustained use or drag racing installations. This unit is only available with the higher speed bearings. Compressor choices include the J, Xi, XX and in both CW and CCW (XX only) rotations, only straight outlet.

  • V-5 Hi-Trim Supercharger

    V-5 Supercharger

The smallest in the family, the V-5 uses straight cut gears (3.45:1 ratio) and engine oil lubrication. It is sized for engines down to 1.5L, yet can support over 500HP. This little blower has five world cup championships for personal watercraft. Compressor choices include the F, G, and H in both CW and CCW rotations but only a straight outlet. Available with standard or higher speed bearings.

  • V-7 YSi-Trim Supercharger

    V-7 Supercharger

The mean little brother to the V-4, in it’s class the V-7 is the most winning supercharger on the planet. It uses straight cut gears (3.45:1 ratio) and the original engine oil lubrication system. This unit is only available with the higher speed bearings. Compressor choices are limited to the JT, and YSi in both CW and CCW (JT only) rotations, only straight outlet.

V-1 T-Trim Supercharger

The V-20 Family

Built to address the needs of the over 1000HP racer, the V-20 is a clean sheet design that incorporates many years of racing compressor knowledge. The patented design employs a unique impeller shaft support system that is robust enough to endure the speeds and accelerations associated with high horsepower drag racing and the durability to perform well in the offshore boat-racing world. The modular design allows fitment of a wide range of compressor stages. Another revolutionary feature of the V-20 series is the new Diverging Diffusion Technology (DDT) impeller/volute performance system with engine specific tunability. All V-20 series superchargers share a 4.21:1 internal step-up ratio and are engine oil lubricated or an auxiliary system can be fabricated. Like the V-1 family, the V-20 can have different compressor stages.

  • V-24 Supercharger XB105

The smallest compressor in this family still delivers well over 1,500HP. The carefully designed housing was made to fit in applications where space is a concern and still deliver twice the power of a typical roots type system.

  • V-24 Supercharger Xi

Efficiently producing over 35 PSIG (2 bar) of boost pressure at high flows, the Xi is the improved version of the famous X (trim) impeller which had redefined what a supercharger should be. Honored and feared on the track this unit is a reliable, top-level performer.

  • V-28 Supercharger 123

Even more serious, the V-28 123 supercharger is designed to provide up to 45 PSI in extreme drag racing applications. Recommended to racers who are building for 6-second ET's in Super Street and Outlaw racing classes.
